OK. Small steps are needed here for me. Little mini goals. How does anyone reward yourself for achieving a mini goal? And when you just gotta take a bite, what do you do to not?

I started saying goodbye to the 310's, then the 300's (that was a big one), goodbye to the 290's, and so on. I promised myself I would never go back - that goodbye was forever! It is really freeing! I use lots of music to motivate me... to help me focus on my goals. I created this internet jukebox - I exercise to it as well.

I agree with you, Bonnie. Music is a powerful motivator. I created my own dance playlist on our iPod. Have you ever heard the song "I Have Confidense" that Julie Andrews sings in The Sound of Music? It would be a great one to add to your list.

HI LADIES! I finally had time for my first workout since the Bead Bash! The past few weeks have been crazy. But I've decided that my workout has got to come first! My boyfriend asked me the other day if I wanted to go to water volleyball with him. I was so terrified to get into a bathing suit I declined. My goal is to feel confident in my bathing suit this year! I also think it's a really good idea for the "mini goals". But...you need a reward for reaching those minis. So..what I've done is bought a few things I really want. Just little guys. And labeled them. And then when I reach my goals I GET ONE! It's really exciting to open that present that's been staring at me! So instead of thinking about the food that's down in the kitchen. I can think about that little present I've been wanting and working so hard for. Keep it up girls! Wednesday, November 21, 2007 - 11:54 PM EST Name: "Gini"
Julie! Welcome. So glad you checked in and I really like your idea for rewards. I like that you wrapped them up so you can open them later. It's like a birthday or Christmas. And I want to support you in your effort towards that great bathing suit. I know you can get there. You've got great enthusiasm!

Julie, You are amazing! We never had a daughter - but you would have been the best daughter! I love that you even have the rewards wrapped! Let us know how it goes! Bonnie
