The Black Swamp Bead Group was formed in 2005, bringing together jewelry
artisans, lampwork artists, designers and bead enthusiasts to provide support, education, and art exposure in the Greater
Toledo Metropolitan area.
Organization Purpose
The purpose of the Black Swamp Bead Group is to increase
the popularity of our common interests, beads! We hope to add new members so we will be able to grow and expand. We also want
to have fun while when we are together and working on projects. By developing relationships and friendships, the organization
will become even stronger.
Our Mission
Our mission is to further promote the art of bead making, artisan
jewelry and our members to the community. We strive to make a difference by educating the public and expanding our reach.
Sharing our talents with the community is an integral part of the Black Swamp Bead Group.

Who Can Join?
We invite anybody interested in beads, lampworking or jewelry
making to join.
Benefits of Joining
There are several benefits to becoming a member of the Black Swamp
Bead Club. We organize several bead shows each year that members in good standing can display and sell their creations.
Each month, members share a wide variety of demonstrations on new techniques and skills. We have some sort of swap each
month - whether a bead or findings or rods of glass. You get a little member's showcase with links from our website.
Best of all, our members are becoming close friends and we have a great time when we get together.
