History of Our Club
The Black Swamp Bead Club
was formed by Leah Nietz and Tom Klein in 2005 with several meetings in their basement. They brought together
jewelry artisans, lampwork artists, designers and bead enthusiasts to provide support, education, and art exposure in the
Greater Toledo Metropolitan area.
Organization Purpose
The purpose of the Black Swamp Bead Group is to
learn more about the world of making, selling and
collecting beads of all kinds, and to increase the
popularity of our common interests, beads! We hope to add new members so we will be able to grow and expand. We also want
to have fun while when we are together and working on projects. By developing relationships and friendships, the organization
will become even stronger.
Mission Statement
Our mission is to further promote the art of bead making,
artisan jewelry and our members to the community. We strive to make a difference by educating the public and expanding
our reach. Sharing our talents with the community is an integral part of the Black Swamp Bead Group.
